This is a collection of children's game books I did a few time ago, for my publisher.

Although it's been a while, was one of my favourites.

This is a "return" to the typical illustration work I do (I just showed you the previous

sort of work to show you that I do more than just the illustratons, that I love. But enjoy the "other side of design" too! Here I present you my last mascot, to a spot of "Good-Night-Kids-Now-Go-To-Bed, to animate and present to a TV station. Although is a bit sooner to talk about (when the work is done I leave here some layouts), I may advance that this is an ET (not a ghost, like the white color seems to be) who visit the children at night to play with them and learn some things that he don't learn with their parents. Right now I'm working on it, but I still don't know the music spot that going to attach to the animation...just the overall story.

I think this brand is an interesting one to show here. Is the VINHAS DA RODRIGUES brand that I presented here earlier...to get this form, I came up with several sketches, form studies, previous ideas...all in a short amount of time. We (me and this director) wanted to get an inovated still classic drawing, a kind of family symbol (don' forget we were dealing with classic wine here, like the legendary Port Wine and Loureiro cast. Those types of wine are so diferent and antagonic,that the brand had to fit them all. All the elements that form the symbol are provided of meaning, like the rope (strenght), the vines (wine), the seed of corn (bred/work), etc.

This was one design work that I leave all my "cartoon vein"(and not only of cartoons lives the men), a more serious one, the labels(here we call rótulos) and another design packaging, this time to pack any of those bottles presented here. The company is called VINHAS DA RODRIGUES, I create the symbol, the labels and the wine box, working along with the director of the company. Soon, I can show you the box in a more detailed view. The result was beautifully printed, a perfect team work!By the way, you have to taste the wine, is just divine...but remember,drink it with moderation!

Is allways a pleasure when we have the chance to "get out" of paper, in case of animation or in other mediums. I was invited to do some package design,in this case to a fruit firm, Kiwis Greensun, located near Guimarães, here in Portugal. I create the design and the kiwi mascot, working very closely with the client. And voilá, maybe soon you see some of those boxes near your next store.
